Green Carved Ikebana Vase

48.00

This porcelain vase was thrown on a potters wheel, then carved. It has been salt fired in a gas fired reduction kiln to cone 10, potter's language for approximately2350 degrees F. The ikebana vase looks great with lots of small flowers or a few long stemmed ones. Alone or in groupings (as shown in one of the images) these make a wonderful low centerpiece for your table. They fit nicely in small spaces like the powder room or on your desk. Each comes with a kenzan (or frog) permanently glued inside to hold flowers just as you arrange them. The vase holds about a cup of water.  Learn more about the salt firing process here.
